Posted on

The Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) has announced that it will be taking precautionary measures in the interest of containing the COVID-19 pandemic, to protect their staff, the sector and to support Government efforts.

As a result, the FSCA will enable remote working and use technology to facilitate all meetings. All face-to-face engagements with external stakeholders will be suspended, including walk-in clients at its Pretoria offices, until further notice.

To further mitigate risks associated with Covid-19, they have implemented the following:

All planned FSCA events and initiatives such as roadshows, workshops and seminars are postponed.
All enquiries relating to Licensing and Business Centre activities will be dealt with via e-mail or telephone.
All on-sites inspections have been cancelled and new dates will be communicated to the affected financial institutions. Desk top supervision will continue as normal and electronic engagement with financial institutions will be ongoing.

Financial customers may call the toll-free number on 0800 20 37 22 or email info@fsca.co.za for remote assistance during this period. Also visit www.fsca.co.za or check the social media pages for any new updates as they continue to monitor the situation.
