Posted on

Towards the end of 2020, we announced that Moonstone’s Business School of Excellence (MBSE) has partnered with FUNDI and STUDENT HERO – two leading education funding providers, to help you apply or pre-qualify for different options to fund your tertiary education from a single platform.

More about the funding providers

FUNDI STUDENT HERO
FUNDI enables students to pursue their dreams and covers all things education finance from tuition loans, device loans, to MBA loans. You can even find student accommodation through FUNDI’s online platform, buy airtime and data and get eBooks. All your educational needs in one place. You can apply for multiple loans directly through STUDENT HERO. STUDENT HERO is a free-of-charge consulting service for funding of tertiary education. Their squad is continuously working to keep on par with the available funding options and its prerequisites, to ensure that your education can be delivered without the burden of financial uncertainties.

How to apply for a student loan – steps to take

  1. Choose a funding provider

Visit FUNDI or STUDENT HERO directly and follow the easy application process. Students can also contact FUNDI on 0860 55 55 44 and STUDENT HERO on 061 585 3490 for more information.

  1. Make sure you qualify

Most providers require you to have:

  •           A quote from your preferred educational institution
  •           A certified copy of your South African ID
  •           Payslip (not older than three months)
  •           Stamped bank statement for the last three months
  •           Proof of registration

What comes first – application at MBSE or student loan application?

Both funding partners will require a quote/pro forma invoice and a signed application. Also, it is important to note that approved funding will be paid to MBSE directly and not to the student.

Good news – Applications for the 2021 intake are still open – closing date 25 January 2021.

Now is your chance to partner with MBSE for one of the following qualifications:

Higher Certificate in Wealth Management (HCWM) – NQF 5
Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning (ACFP) – NQF 6
Occupational Certificate: Compliance Officer – NQF 6
