Financial services providers and compliance professionals have until 10am on 13 July to register for Moonstone Compliance’s annual Regulatory Update Webinar, which will bring together three hours of regulatory developments, FICA issues, and an in-depth look at the Conduct of Financial Institutions Bill.
The webinar takes place on Wednesday, 15 July, and is designed to help financial institutions and accountable institutions understand not only what has changed, but how recent developments fit into a broader shift in regulatory expectations.

COFI will be a major focus. Although the Bill has yet to be enacted, it remains one of the most significant developments on the regulatory horizon and is expected to introduce important changes to South Africa’s conduct framework.
The webinar’s main session will examine the Bill’s status and progression through the legislative process, the key conduct themes emerging from the proposed framework, and what firms can begin considering in preparation.
Attention will be given to outcomes-based regulation, governance and accountability, product oversight, customer outcomes, disclosure and transparency, and the potential impact of continuous disclosure obligations on client engagement.
But COFI is only part of the story.
The webinar will begin with a review of key developments from the Financial Sector Conduct Authority and the Financial Intelligence Centre since Moonstone’s previous Regulatory Update Webinar in November 2025.
A dedicated FICA and anti-money-laundering session will cover regulatory expectations, legislative developments, and post-greylisting considerations. The programme will also address reporting obligations such as the Risk and Compliance Return, against the backdrop of regulators’ growing reliance on structured reporting and data.
The webinar will conclude with a question-and-answer session.
The session is aimed at accountable institutions, financial services providers, key individuals, representatives, compliance officers, risk managers, governance professionals and others responsible for meeting regulatory and conduct obligations within their organisations.
The presenters will be Billy Seyffert and Marili Orffer.
