As a result of the huge interest in the privacy governance segment of our Regulatory Update Webinar in February, Moonstone Compliance will be holding a series of webinars dealing specifically with this issue.

The first webinar, from 10am to 12pm on 18 May, will focus on incident response management.

A data breach can be a very disruptive event for any business, and how it is handled by the responsible party could have a significant reputational and regulatory impact, says Billy Seyffert, the chief operating officer of Moonstone Compliance.

The webinar will be presented by Andrea de Jongh, Moonstone Compliance’s expert on privacy governance.

You can earn 1.5 CPD hours by attending the webinar.

The webinar will give you an understanding of the building blocks of cybersecurity and show you how to protect your organisation from a cybersecurity incident by incorporating a layered protection approach into your Regulatory Risk Register.

This will be done by helping you to understand how to conduct a risk assessment and what needs to be in place to empower you to be aligned with business best practice – mapping your processing activities, identifying areas of non-compliance and finding solutions.

The webinar will also use the data breach at TransUnion as a case study and work through Popia’s section 22 requirements to empower you to respond to an unauthorised access incident.

This session will provide invaluable information for a privacy governance team, information officers and key individuals, and anyone who is responsible for an organisation’s cybersecurity or risk management.

The cost is R250 (excluding VAT) for Moonstone Compliance clients or R350 (excluding VAT) for non-clients.
