Moonstone Business School of Excellence (MBSE) has officially opened registrations for its 2026 academic year, inviting prospective students to take the next step in their professional and academic journey.
MBSE’s programmes are recognised by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA) as meeting Fit and Proper competence requirements across various categories and sub-categories of financial services. In addition, selected programmes are endorsed or approved by relevant professional bodies, such as the Financial Planning Institute of Southern Africa (FPI) and the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA), in alignment with each programme’s vocational purpose.

The newest addition to MBSE’s growing offering is the online Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management, designed to equip students with both academic knowledge and practical skills that reflect the needs of today’s employers.
According to MBSE operations manager Monique Brummer, the BCom integrates ethics and technology across 30 modules, covering fields such as accounting, tax, business management, and auditing. The curriculum aligns broadly with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), ensuring global relevance, and includes digital tools and industry-relevant certifications.
“We teach the theory but also show students how to apply it using real-world tools. Our aim is to ensure our graduates are as employable as possible,” Brummer said.
The BCom is suitable for both school leavers and working professionals looking to formalise or advance their skills. Graduates may also qualify for CIMA exam exemptions and pursue the Chartered Global Management Accountant designation.
