Moonstone Business School of Excellence (MBSE) will open its virtual doors to aspiring and current financial services professionals from 11 to 13 November – this time including its newly launched Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Management as part of the line-up.
This marks the third round of MBSE’s popular Virtual Open Days this year, where participants can explore a suite of accredited qualifications, interact with qualification co-ordinators, and gain practical guidance on advancing their careers in financial services.
The sessions are free, open to the public, and designed to help attendees discover which qualification best fits their career goals. Whether you are a recent matriculant, an industry professional seeking to upskill, or an administrator in banking, insurance or retirement funds, there’s a session designed for you.
Spotlight on MBSE’s new BCom in Financial Management
For the first time, MBSE will host an open day for its BCom in Financial Management, a qualification launched earlier this year to meet the evolving needs of employers and students.
According to Monique Brummer, the operations manager at MBSE, the degree blends academic theory, ethical grounding, and digital workplace readiness across its curriculum. The BCom covers accounting, business management, tax, auditing, and financial management, and integrates tools such as accounting and project management software aligned with learning outcomes.
“We teach the theory but also show students how to apply it using real-world tools,” Brummer explained. “Our aim is to ensure our graduates are as employable as possible.”
The BCom is fully accredited for online learning, providing flexibility for both full-time students and working professionals. Lecturers engage with students through live online sessions, tutorial videos, and on-demand support to ensure a connected, supportive learning experience.
The qualification aligns with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants’ framework, ensuring its content meets international business standards.

Each session includes detailed programme overviews, live Q&As with qualification co-ordinators, case studies from successful alumni, and a virtual tour of MBSE’s interactive online learning environment.
Participants can register for one or more sessions, depending on their career interests.
