The Fit and Proper requirements published in December 2017 introduced a whole new set of requirements for Financial Services Providers (FSPs), key individuals and representatives. Since 1 April 2018, the Key Individual is also responsible and accountable for compliance with this and all other relevant legislation.

Moonstone Business School of Excellence (MBSE) addressed this challenge by developing a face-to-face workshop for those who wish to familiarise themselves with the new obligations.

The Moonstone workshop will, to a large degree, focus on all the requirements introduced in Board Notice 194 of 2017, the Fit and Proper Board Notice. The aim is to familiarise attendees with all the concepts and the practical implications thereof, including competence requirements and continuous professional development.

This practical workshop is intended for:

●	key individuals
●	those aspiring to become KIs in the near future
●	compliance officers

Glenn Burjins, an independent compliance officer with more than 20 years’ experience, will run the workshops.

The workshops are also accredited by the Compliance Institute of Southern Africa and thus qualify for 7 CPD hours as required by the FSCA.
