The eighth edition of Healthcare in South Africa by Liz Still is now available.

The focus of the 2014 edition is the regulatory environment and the current profile of the private health sector in South Africa. It also includes chapters on the funding, framework and delivery of health in the public sector and the proposed introduction of National Health Insurance.

Previous editions of the book received positive feedback from industry members, including medical doctors, actuarial health students, financial planning students as well as representatives of the wider healthcare community.

The book is endorsed by the Financial Planning Institute for Continuous Professional Development. FPI policy will allow a reader to claim one CPD point for each hour spent reading relevant content. The FPI further plans to support its members to prove their competence of claimed reading by hosting online questionnaires based on the content of Health Care in South Africa from 2015.
