FIC to host free webinar on money laundering and terrorism financing risks

The Financial Intelligence Centre (FIC) will host a free webinar on Thursday, 9 February, on identifying and mitigating money laundering and terrorism financing risks.

The FIC said the workshop will focus on identifying, monitoring, mitigating and managing risks, which are the fundamental principles underpinning the Financial Intelligence Centre Act.

The workshop will take place on Microsoft Teams from 9am to 3.30pm.

The topics on the agenda include:

  • An update on legislative changes;
  • The elements of an effective risk management and compliance programme;
  • Risk monitoring and analysis;
  • Suspicious transaction reports; and
  • Identification of risks related to beneficial ownership, Domestic Prominent Influential Persons, and Foreign Prominent Public Officials.

During the webinar, you can use the chat tool to ask questions, which will be answered during the session.
