The Financial Planning Institute provides its members with a list of approved training providers.
Moonstone Business School of Excellence (MBSE) is one such provider who complies with the FPI’s requirements in terms of mapping more than 80% of its learning outcomes back to the Financial Planning Curriculum of the FPI. MBSE furthermore meets the requirements of becoming an FPI Approved Educational Provider.
The following qualifications are available:
- Successful completion of the Higher Certificate in Wealth Management: NQF Level 5 entitles learners to attain the FPI’s RFP™ Status/Designation, provided they are paid up members of the FPI and complies with its Certification Standards.
- The same applies to those who successfully complete the Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning: NQF Level 6. Such candidates attain the right to use the FSA™ designation, providing that they meet the FPI’s Certification Standards.
Very important to note: Individuals who completed and obtained the above qualifications between 2013 – 31/12/2016 are exempt from writing the FPI’s RFP™ and FSA™ Professional Competency Examinations (“Board Exams”) as MBSE meets the FPI’s high examination status. This exemption is reviewed every three years.
All students who register with MBSE also qualify for free student membership of the FPI, and is provided member benefits such as discounts on seminars and access to the FPI’s legislative library.
