This year’s FPI conference boasts a host of industry authorities who will be tackling topical and current subject matter. The programme includes practical workshops and panel discussions by leading experts and opportunities to network with like-minded individuals in the exhibition hall.
Johann Maree, will be joined by a panel of highly experienced and qualified experts including Arno Burger (Fidius), Craig Kiggen (Consolidated Financial Planning), Ian Beere (Netto), Wouter Fourie (Ascor), John Campbell (Chartered Wealth). They will explore how effective practice management and client engagement tactics can drive growth in a financial advisory practice.
Other dynamic panel discussions include:
- Bruce Whitfield will be chairing a debate on ‘Traditional vs Living Annuities’ by Ferdi Booysen (Old Mutual) and Mickey Gambale (Momentum).
- Gerhardt Meyer (Old Mutual Wealth), Wessel Oosthuizen (University of the Free State) and Phil Billingham (TCF Partnership) will discuss the Future of financial planning.
- An estate planning panel chaired by David Thomson (Sanlam Personal Finance) will discuss how to protect a trust: Local (Louis van Vuren – Finlac), Offshore (Anton Maskowitz – Sanlam Private Investments) and Wills and marital regimes (Tiny Carroll – Glacier by Sanlam);
Other topics on this year’s programme include a regulatory update from the National Treasury, and a political update by Justice Malala as well as sessions from highly regarded subject matter experts on tax, risk, investments, employee benefits, healthcare and estate planning.
