RE1 and RE 5 certificates

We are inundated with requests from clients who have mislaid their certificates. Please follow the DIY steps below to get it much quicker.

Regulatory Exam candidates who wrote with Moonstone, and passed, can download a copy of their RE1 and RE 5 certificates from the website: www.faisexam.co.za

Here is what you do:

  1. Click on the Moonstone FAIS Exam webpage
  2. Click on the second heading: “update your booking/personal details/get results”.
  3. Key in your ID or Passport Number used to register for the exam
  4. The system will send a password to the e-mail address you provided at registration
  5. Use this password to log in on the same address as above
  6. You will then be able to download your certificate.
  7. This page also contains your results.

What if your address changed after registration?

Send a copy of the ID you used during registration, and your new e-mail address, to faisexam@moonstoneinfo.co.za. We will then change the e-mail address on our system, and you can follow the procedure above to obtain the document.

Please do not forget to also let the FSB have your new address.

Our website also contains a wealth of regulatory examination information, including tips on writing the exams. Please feel free to browse there to your heart’s content.

  8. I would like to know if the examination Center is available in Pietermaritzburg.

    1. We have a satellite venue in PMB. The address is 51 Dryden Road, Hayfields (NG Gemeente Hayfields).

  9. Greeings Can I enroll to have RE qualification even if I am not yet employed by any finacial institution? Someone told me that I have to be an agent in the financial sector as a requirement to enroll for this qualification.

    1. You don’t have to be employed to write the RE exam.

I would like some knowledge in regards to doing my RE5, I found out quiet late last year in regards to it and I was doing local insurance from December 2019, I was told about it but didn’t know how important to have it at that point in time, and I’d like to pursue it now, would I be able to request for a new DOFA date? Would I also be able to pursue my RE5?

    1. The DOFA cannot be changed. DOFA defines how soon a representative should meet certain qualifications standards. This includes passing the Regulatory Examination RE5 exam within two years and obtaining the required qualifications within six years from the DOFA activation date.
