Expired Driver’s licence NOT acceptable as ID for RE

Posted on 2 Comments

Candidates wishing to write Regulatory exams are required to identify themselves by means of a VALID document, including an ID document, a driver’s license or a passport.

With the backlog experienced in the issuing of new driver’s licences, Invigilators at RE exam centres are seeing an increase in candidates who provide expired licences as a means of identification.

As this is not a valid document, such candidates have to be turned away, as required by the regulations applicable to these exams.

We are aware of the substantial number of arrear renewal applications but are unfortunately not able to disregard the FSCA requirements. Candidates who find themselves in this position MUST please ensure that they produce a valid ID or passport document.
